Jeju Island, the region with the highest marine waste collection rate in the country.
The average amount of marine waste collected nationwide over the past three years is 100,000 tons,
and about 22,000 tons was collected in Jeju Island last year.
Among these, the rate of plastics that do not naturally decompose account for more than 70%.
More sea creatures are dying from eating microplastics, misunderstanding those as fish eggs.
Perhaps, It seems that we are getting closer to the days, when the plastic, which we conveniently use and discard, returns to our lives.
To keep our beautiful sea by our side for a long time,
SAVEJEJUBADA, the team which have been collecting marine debris and large amounts of buoy waste floating in the sea through ocean cleanup activities, and Plastic Ark have came together.
We wished to go one step further than just collecting marine debris.
'PLASTIC TO GREEN' documentary film is created for more meaningful practices
and JEJUBADA POT is produced from marine plastic waste with design of a practical sea colored plant pot.
